Laser Scanning
3D Laser Scanning is a method of reality capture which utilises lasers to measure the surroundings and create a 3D representation of the real world in the form of a “point cloud”. Our CAD and modelling teams use this point cloud to create 3D models and 2D drawings.

All our measured building surveys are now completed using laser scanning technology.

Laser scanning offers many benefits over more traditional survey methods:

-
All information is recorded - no site returns needed to capture additional information.

-
Faster data collection, reducing the time spent on site.

-
Increased survey wide accuracy

-
Safety – Survey teams are able to measure areas of sites and structure remotely, avoiding the potential risks of accessing areas directly.
